"The moment you walk in to this restaurant, you are greeted with a smile. My wife and I have been here a few times and can't resist the temptation to try new tastes each time we go (though my wife always has to have the Pad Thai no matter what).

You will find new sensations that you never thought food could bring. The cucumber salad that comes with the satay chicken is worth tasting all by itself. The peanut sauce is one like I've never tasted before. It's amazing how the hospitality at Andaman Thai accented with the food, can bring you sensations that you never though were possible.

If you get the chance to come here to eat, I strongly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. I'm a dealer at the casino and make it a point to try the food locally as much as I can so that I can refer my guests if they ask for places to eat. This is my number one recommendation."

"The elements of each dish were fresh and quality. Tastes and textures were well balanced. The big hits were the Crispy Pad Thai and the Thai Grilled Seafood Curry.

The former comes out as a big billowing nest of crispy noodles. It appears difficult to approach at first, but you just start to crunch the noddles and mix it up; you'll find the red curry and goodies at the center, plentiful enough to coat all the noodles generously. The flavors are excellent, accented by small slivers of onion tops and sweet red pepper. Yum yum yum.

Thai Grilled Seafood Curry is a real show stopper: a lovely green curry with a mix of seafood surrounds a fresh coconut filled crab legs and mussels, full of soft, sweet coconut meat to scoop out and eat."

"Hunting for treasure on the coast? . . .Well gents and ladies, I think we've found it here! Every aspect of this restaurant is a new experience waiting to happen.

Find yourself seated in a cozy corner of this dining room. With the bamboo dining sets and a switch on fire place you can't help but let the charm woo you. As you stay seated, you sit back to relax and start enjoying the authentic artwork. Don't be fooled. Those black cut outs of elephants and dragons are made from real leather. Enjoy a sip of your fresh lime water. The rich colors on the wall and the large variety of house plants help your mind settle a little further into relaxation.

This wonderful older lady comes running out ready to make your meal one of the greatest you've ever had. If you're open for a conversation, she is never too busy to pass it up. She will even help you select your favorite flavor of loose leaf tea and serve it up in a beautiful iron cast pot.

On this trip I had a pomegranate tapioca with a dob of coconut cream and mint, with a berry sauce drizzled on the plate. It was heavenly and unlike any dessert I've had before.

Ever since I first stepped foot in this place I knew I would never again come to Lincoln city without stopping here. Its worth the trip alone!"

"My husband and I ate at Andaman Thai Cuisine last night and it was our best food memory from Lincoln City. We stopped by earlier in the afternoon to peruse the menu and the chef came out to talk to us and answer any questions. She was very friendly and full of information.

We are so glad we went back for dinner. It was the best Thai food we have had. My husband had the halibut in a curry sauce that was excellent, creamy and perfectly seasoned. I had the pad kee mao. All I can say about mine is I can't believe I ate the whole thing, but I couldn't help myself.

All of the ingredients were cooked to perfection and the flavor was wonderful with plenty of sweet basil. The chicken was moist and was not like those flat dry little pieces I so often find in other Thai dishes.

Everything was beautifully presented. Prices were very reasonable. We walked out happy and satisfied. We plan to make Andaman a regular stop whenever we are in Lincoln City."

"This is the best Thai food you'll ever experience. The blending of flavors, the freshness of the food and the presentation are truly amazing. Try the soup, which brings a delicate complexity to the palate, with little surprises in each amazing spoonful. And the calamari is as tender as any you'll ever have."

"We went to Andaman based upon other reviews.  It did not dissappoint.  The appetizer called Oh My God is aptly named.  A must have. The thai spicy noodles were wonderful. They were some of the best I've ever had. We wish we could take them with us back to Missouri. We would go constantly if we lived nearby. Well done!"

"When vacationing visitors think of Lincoln City, they think of its physical beauty.  But for me, I feel that true beauty is felt in the heart.  From the minute I walk in the door of Andaman Thai Cuisine your happy, pleasant, and friendly attitude permeates the air.

You greet me as a friend and make me feel my simple needs are the most important thing in your lives.

In the working years of our lives we get very few "attaboys."  So I just want you to know that in my eyes YOU ARE WONDERFUL and I sincerely appreciate your caring, concern, and friendship.  I am a grateful and satisfied customer!"

"I was quite surprised to find this place on par or better with some of my favorite Thai restaurants in NYC. I was vacationing recently in Gleneden Beach with a big group of friends. We ordered take-out one night for about 12 people and it was all absolutely delicious. I had the tofu pad thai, the yellow curry, dumplings, and other assorted fare. The yellow curry was my favorite--very delicately flavored with a little kick.  Very impressive Thai food."

"I was pleasantly surprised that the food easily rivals that of good Thai restaurants in LA... You won't be disappointed if you enjoy authentic Thai food."

We had a chance to chat with the owner and executive chef, Patana Kaplan, who sees herself as an ambassador for Thailand, bringing not just food but experience to folks who may never get to experience it directly.  Her restaurant, presentation, and personality make her the perfect ambassador. We had such a good time at the restaurant that we didn't make it to the beach. The trip to the coast really was worth the dinner alone, so we weren't disappointed.

They started us off with a couple of appetizers, though I can't remember the names. One was a fresh roll of tapioca paper filled with rice noodles, tofu, and some veggie/herb. We dipped that in some extra yummy peanut sauce and enjoyed. Next was some (green) chicken that was just as scrumptious and plenty covered in peanut sauce. I didn't know I'd love the stuff so much, but it's essentially a warm, super creamy peanut butter.  Dad also had some pomegranate ginger iced tea that he really enjoyed.

Moving onto the meal, we all got something we liked. They brought out an incredible looking plate of pineapple fried rice for all to share. It was a pineapple cut in half and filled with fried rice, pineapple slices, and other veggies. This accompanied our entrees which included such yummies as Pad Thai, veggies in red curry, noodles and chicken, and chicken wraps (larb) for me. I opted for the "Wild" spice level and wasn't disappointed.  It was the most flavorful chicken I've ever had.  The presentation was every bit as good as the food, and it made the whole experience that much more incredible!

Dessert was two yummy dishes. One was a coconut sticky rice with mango, and the other (my favorite) was a warm, pink tapioca pudding in coconut milk. Apparently I love anything in coconut milk.  The desserts were super yummy and eaten with appropriate smiles and belly rubs.

We conversed for a little while longer before heading out.  When we left this charming little Thai restaurant, every one of us was sure that we'd just eaten one of the most incredible meals of our lives.

"There's real Thai charm in both the food and the personnel at Andaman Thai Cuisine... some of Oregon's best Thai food.  How all of these magnificent plates come out of that small kitchen is a true wonder!

Among more than 70 dishes you'll find a fabulous fried won-ton appetizer, filled with seasoned ground pork and served with a tasty plum sauce; fresh salads, hearty soups and famous Thai noodles; tofu, beef, chicken, pork or king salmon curries; stir-fried spicy sweet basil with ground chicken; Thai pasta and fresh halibut.

The entrees are presented as beautifully as they are in picturesque Thailand."
